TOMBA 19 / 8 - 11
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tomba, after forming AMP (Alphamale Primates) alongside Borgore, launching his solo career in late 2009 was natural.
Influenced by many genres, but most noticeably metal, Tomba substantiated himself as one of the most hard-hitting and intense artists in the dustup scene.
Most recognised for his energetic and almost possessed performances, Tomba had played side by side with the most influential names in Dubstep all over Europe and the US, as tours in Canada and Australia are right next on the bill.
Seems like Tomba never ceases to get better and better and is now ready to explode in this 2011 with the highly anticipated ‘freshly squeezed jews' awaiting its legitimacy in our music collections.....

ONEMAN 09/01-11
its close and personal... seriously fresh... and a perfect finish to the weekend after datsik.
Oneman plays a lot of old tunes, an exception in a scene obsessed with the perpetual "moving forward never backwards" motion of dubplate culture. It's a kind of an unwritten rule but by and large to become a big DJ in dubstep you need either two things:An incredible arsenal of new dubplates, or a talent for production such that you have, well, an incredible arsenal of new dubplates. But recently a DJ has managed a steep climb up the scene's ranks without either. He is DJ Oneman.Amongst the immense respect bestowed onto him by his peers through the dubstep scene, DJ Oneman remains the only artist ever to appear on Mary Anne Hobb's BBC Radio 1 show without releasing a single record. He has almost singlehandly re-invented old school garage - taking theart of djing to a new level.

BLAH BLAH BLAH, brisbanes only solid broken beat festival was absolute gold..
from what i hear every tent was amazing and seriously intense by the time the finish was near.... naturally i spent most of the day at the dubthug stage, right till the very end when i though my head was going to explode. and even tho the aged pioneer cdj's for some reason didnt want to play any of excision's cd's from the past 6 months, the crowd still lost the plot .. it felt like taking 1 foot under the tent would have u unwillingly absorbed into the 50 degree sweat pit and quickly launched above the crowd.. unless of coarse u jump onto it like some of us..
to have excision and freq nasty as the headliners for the dubthug & jungalette stage
was again 1 of the highlights to the first 6 months in the life of the dubthugs and there friends..
the local & interstate talent were again very impressive with special thanks to illicit, affiks, profesa & arctic , de la hey & deep space
